This photo is pre-cleanup, so forgive me, but I was a little disappointed at how out of practice I am with Konad anymore so I was not very driven to make it perfect. I like the idea and the colors together, but it was just sloppy. I thought I'd post it anyway for you guys who are looking for ideas of color combos and stuff for your konadicures. I used China Glaze Agent Lavender (I friggin love this polish) for the base, then China Glaze Grape Pop for the stamp and China Glaze Four Leaf Clover for the dots.

Holy cr@p, that looks cool--even if you think it's sloppy! Love the colors! For me, I'm perfectly content to just look at konadicures instead of actually doing them.

i definitely love looking at them, too, and thank goodness lots of blogs are chock full of them. They're awesome. and thanks! i loved the colors, too. the Up & Away collection really inspires me. there are so many fun combinations you can use with them for nail art.

Thanks Susie, Liana and Ladeekim!
Cakedoo: I would really recommend starting with the Basic Stamping Kit, because it has a scraper and stamp and a plate as well as one of their special polishes in white. This is the kit I started with, and I ordered a couple extra plates at the same time. If you prefer to try their special polishes go ahead, but I can't personally recommend any as I've never had any but the white that came with my initial kit. I like to use the polishes I already have. I do know that a lot of people really like the special polishes because you know they'll work, but if you have a lot of pigmented-in-one-coat polishes or chromes like the China Glaze Romantiques or Khromes etc... then you can start with those. Additionally, I think it's easiest to start with the plates with a simple design. That way you can start by placing a design on one finger per mani till you get the hang of it. Eventually, once you find your groove a design on each nail becomes easier then you try the full patterns and it gets even easier from there. I sat down with my first kit and messed with it for an hour before I got one stamp to transfer, but once you figure it out, it's a snap. I'm going to try to do a konad video soon, so hopefully that will shed further light on it. But yeah, I would start with the Basic kit and then choose a couple additional plates you like and go from there:) HTH!

OK - thanks so much for the insight! I looked at the kits but wasn't sure... I appreciate all of the info.. I also wasn't sure about using other polishes with the plates - good to know that I can! I will pop over and pick out some stuff then probably be back to ask for help once I receive! LOL! Thank you, thank you! Denise

No Problem Denise:) I'm going to try to do a Konad technique video this weekend, also. That may help:D
