Recently I was lucky enough to win a CARGO giveaway on their Facebook page, and I won the Essential Eye Shadow Palette in Warm Neutral which I've been eyeing up for some time, but have never gotten around to buying it. Mainly because I am ashamed of how much eye shadow I have already. I would have gotten around to it eventually, I'm sure, but I lucked into winning it anyway. I won a "year's supply," which when it arrived it looked more like a lifetime supply. This palette is HUGE, so I want to pass some love on to you guys, so I'm going to give one away to one of you peeps. Here's how to enter:
1) Be a member of Beautopia through Google Friend Connect (which you will find in the column to the right) and leave a comment on this post with your Google Friend Connect name.
2) You can also enter by tweeting the following: Follow @BeautopiaBlog and RT to enter to win @CARGOcosmetics Essential Eye Palette http://bit.ly/aRzDv9 "

Ends Sunday, March 7th at midnight, and a winner will be chosen the next day and notified.
If I didn't know better I'd guess that CARGO was based in Texas, not Toronto, because everything's bigger at CARGO. Don't be fooled by their TexasLash, it's a Canadian brand. You already know about the blushes, but these shadow palettes are ginormous. The packaging is roughly the same size as a 4-pan refillable Stila palette, and you can see how much of the palette the shadows take up. They come in three different color schemes and I am reviewing the lightest, Warm Neutral. The shades are: Light ivory (matte), a buttercream (satin), warm golden brown (matte), and medium neutral brown (satin). Each of these shades has their purpose imprinted in the pan, and they work pretty well when you use them where they suggest. In the photos shown I used the lid and browbone shades as marked and then used the outer corner shade in the crease and the crease shade as a transition color between the crease and browbone to create a little needed contour for my puffy crease. The texture of the shadows is buttery soft across the board. A little goes a loooong way with these shades, especially the lightest two. The two darker shades aren't as dramatically pigmented which makes for a beautiful subtle look and allows for a more natural blended look.

The only products used were CARGO Essential Palette in Warm Neutral, Urban Decay Zero 24/7 liner and CARGO LashActivator (read my review of this mascara here).
