I just received my first order from Fyrinnae yesterday and have been having some fun messing around with the loose eye shadow samples. Below i've got a few swatches on the eye, nothing but the shadow on my eye to show the shade. All swatches are foiled (used wet)

Fire Opal - This is a dark taupe with brilliant copper and gold shimmer/frost. when used dry the base is a little lighter than you see here.

L'Oreal HiP Metallic Duo in PLATINUM!

I am a silver eyeshadow ho, it's to me what taupe is to most of MUA. MAC Silver Fog pigment had always been about the most metallic true silver i could find, even applied dry; when applied wet it got even better of course. Lately, however, i've been getting a lemming for a super-pigmented, highly metallic PRESSED true silver and when I put the question of finding one to the MUA makeup board, as ever, they delivered amazing recommendations. The most popular rec was a duo from the new-ish Metallic range of the popular L'Oreal HiP duos called, properly, Platinum. Chococat05 had, coincidentally enough, *just* posted a FOTD with it and declared it to be a dupe, if not better than MAC Silver Fog pigment, and she was so right.

I did a couple photos which you see below. You can see that Platinum is the most metallic and the most pigmented of all that i've swatched. Previously, Silver Fog pigment was the best i'd ever found in terms of a knock-you-on-your-rear metallic true silver, but of all things this HiP duo puts the pigment to shame. I got it during a BOGO sale at CVS also so for about $4 for the duo, you can't beat it. The black shade is decent too, better than the black MAC Shadows i've used. It works well with the platinum shade, however it's not the best black shadow i've ever used, (i'm looking at you Sephora Mono matte black)

Here are a couple swatches and comparisons (CLICK THE PIC FOR LARGER PHOTO):
in the blow picture from LEFT to RIGHT:
MAC Electra, Stila Cloud, MAC Silver Fog pigment, MAC White pigment, MAC Platinum Metal pigment

And here's a photo showing a couple of the shades over Lemon Chiffon Shadestick from MAC. they're separated by a pretty jank hand-drawn line, but you get the idea:
